Scouting provides skills for life to young people aged 6-25yrs.  They are split into sections based on age: Beaver Scouts (6-8yr), Cub Scouts (8-10½ yr), Scouts (10½-14yrs), Explorer Scouts (14-18yr) and Scouts Network (18-25yr).

The Easingwold District Explorer Unit is known as the Dawney Eagles.

Our usual meeting place is at the The Dawney whatever the weather, we just dress appropriately!  We usually try to do our activities outdoors but do retire indoors during the cold, dark winter months, unless there is something exciting to do in the dark!

Our usual weekly meetings are on Tuesday evenings from 19.30 till 21.00.  However, due to the nature of the Explorer programme, which is primarily devised by our Explorers themselves, we are often out and about, so timings and locations will differ depending on planned activities.

Dawney Eagles have a varied programme of activities locally and get further afield (no pun intended) during our expeditions.  We also tap into many District, County and national events and are on hand to help out with activities for other sections within the district.

Where are we?
